Julio Simões Institute

Julio Simões Institute was founded in 2006 with the purpose of directing the investments from SIMPAR (former JSL Group) to their own social and cultural projects. It is an initiative to mitigate the impacts of their operations and cherish their relationship with the communities around them.

In order to promote the brand’s new positioning, we developed an identity that explores the concept of pathways and their relations with mobility, transportation and the construction of the future.

The brand

By understanding the importance of the institute’s founding father, we came up with a logo inspired by Julio Simões own signature. We made adaptations that consider the visual balance and signal even more strength and  legibility, promoting history with the touch of a pen.

The possibilities within intersecting paths

A graphic design that explores the concept of pathways and their relations with mobility, transport and the construction of a better future. The graphics in the identity were built from several organic forms that, when connected, create different paths.

A legacy in service of a new future

Along with the new identity, we presented a new tagline that reaffirms the Institute’s commitment to build a better future with determination, labor, simplicity and honesty – values that guided their founding father.
